Participation
Who can participate?
Any organisation (company, non-profit or public) can apply for participation as long as it has premises used for office purposes in any one of the eighteen countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, or the United Kingdom.
The organisation participates with a separate office building where energy consumption – electricity, heating, hot water – can be measured and documented, and for which historical data are available.
Energy Trophy® + focuses on energy saving by behavioural change of the occupants of office buildings, that is, you and your staff. However, low-cost measures such as the introduction of energy saving light bulbs, switchable plugs, timers, and micro-energy audits or replacement of written-off equipment by state-of-the-art equipment are also allowed.
In order to ensure a fair competition and to show how much savings can be achieved through behavioural change and low-cost measures alone, for participants conducting highly investive renovation or thermo-modernisation work during the competition, this will be factored out when assessing the results.
Who is participating in the current round?
In 2007/2008 150 organisations are registered for the Energy Trophy®+ competition.
