The 2nd round of the
European Energy Trophy Competition
2007/2008

What is it about?

The Energy Trophy is an EU-wide competition for saving energy in office buildings by change of behaviour.
It took place for the first time in 2004/2005 with 38 companies and institutions from six countries. As a result of the many in-house measures introduced by the participants, real and effective energy savings of 7% were achieved aggregately, with the winner having saved over 30%. In absolute figures, the project achieved a total reduction of 3 700 MWh, 1 885 tonnes CO₂ and cost savings of over EUR 200 000.

Given the success of the first round of the Energy Trophy, the project consortium is now organizing a second round of the competition for up to 450 participants from 18 European countries. The Energy Trophy + competition will take place from 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008.

Interested companies and organisations from all over Europe are invited to join the competition.
