How to influence energy saving behaviour?
Awards and competitions as successful instruments for energy efficiency
Reducing energy consumption and promoting energy efficiency are among the main goals of the European Unions climate protection strategies. The facilitation of energy efficiency measures and energy savings by implementing competitions and awards supports the target of reaching 20% energy savings by 2020. At this workshops stakeholders from European and national level will present energy saving strategies, provide an overview of projects promoting energy saving behaviour and energy efficiency and discuss behavioural changes and its impact for climate protection.
